Met 1st goal!

So I am at 125.8, and my before baby weight was 125.4. I'm am considering this goal met! I would like to lose an additioanl 5 pounds by the end of the summer. We shall see. I am pretty comfortable here. I got lots of compliments from my friends when I was in a bikini last weekend. I got compliments on my 6 pack! Although I don't think I really have one.

I will put picture of myself the day after I got my positive pregnancy test, 1 year post partum, and now 5 months into my diet.
I was so down for a long time thinking my body was never going to be the same. Now I am so happy - it's not exactly the same but pretty good!

2 Weeks of WW

So...I have done really well doing WW and have not even eaten all of my activity points. Last week I got down to 127.2. My weight hasn't budged since then, but my period just ended. I think tomorrow it may show on the scale. I do take measurements though, and my waist was down to 26 1/2. It was 25 before pregnancy. I would just like to get under 26.

Tomorrow we are going to a party where I am bringing Ina Garten's Outrageous Brownies. They will be hard to resist. And Sat we are going on a roadtrip to a winery and then I will be hunover Sunday and making bad food choices. It will be a bad weekend for dieting!

Starting WW again...

Not planning on going to the meeting this time, just following the points system. I'm not going to eat my activity points this time and see if I lose faster. Since I am down to the 120's I only get 18 points, which is the lowest you can go. That's only 900 - 1000 calories a day! I at least get 35 bonus points to eat during the week, which helps some.

Workouts are going good. My son is not taking a nap in the morning anymore, so I have been going to yoga on Tuesdays, which is great. It's been hard for me to find a place that has a daycare!

Ugh, gaining

I have gained 2.4 pounds since last Monday for some reason! Last week I had a bad sinus infection with a poudding headache. That with not being able to breathe left me not wanting to work out. So I skipped last week.
I have been eating around 1400 calories a day, which definitely shouldn't be making me gain! I can usually maintain at 1500. I have worked out hardcore the last 3 days and stilled gained .8 pounds! I really need to stop weighing myself everyday.
We are going out of town this weekend, which is not going to help the weight. I'm going to try to eat a granola bar for breakfast and trail mix for lunch, so I only have to eat at a restaurant once a day. But restaurant food has SO MANY calories. At least I never eat more than half an entree.

Next week I will be hitting the diet hard and heavy, at 1200 calories a day, and I think I'll be posting everyday to stay on track!

126.4!

Exactly 1 pound to go! I can't believe I've lost 18 pounds in less than 3 months. That's super fast for me. I even ate out twice this weekend and still lost.
I'm think by June 15th I will be where I want to be. I'm so excited, although my stomach is still not the same as it was before I had Kellen. Oh well! He's worth it.

The 120's!

I dipped into the 120's today, at 129.8. Only 4.4 pounds to go, although I think 120 might be my final goal.

And I switch my closet to spring clothes yesterday. I tried on 40 pairs of jeans and capris (I have a lot of clothes) and I fit inot all of them but 5!

Picture updates

I had dh take a picture this morning, so I could look at my progress. I'm not looking as good as I thought. My stomach is a little smaller, but not much. The new picture is slightly closer though, so maybe that's it.
I think I need to lose another 8-10 pounds for my body to look like it did before I had my son.
I've gained back a pound or two, so hopefully this will motivate me to be a little stricter.
I'm heading out for a run right after I post this!

The first picture is where I started with my weight, the 2nd one is today, and the 3rd one is right after I got my positive pregnancy test.

I kinda forgot about this blog...

Sorry! When I created this blog, I expected my weight loss of 19 pounds to take at least a year, and I really thought I would need it to keep on track. But now I have lost 14 pounds in 3 months, and it has been very easy for me. The weight has just kind of fallen off since I stopped nursing.

I am now very comfortable with my body and fitting in to a lot of my clothes, so I have been slacking A LOT which is not good. I did WW last week, but I went over my points the last two days. I have only lost a pound the last 2 weeks, so I really need to get on track this week.
I am at 130.8 and am really looking forward to hitting the 120's!

My week off from WW...

I lost almost another pound! Which feels great because I was not nearly as stict with myself. I am eating more dairy, not sure if that will help.
This is day 3 back on WW and I am doing ok. I have 6 more pounds to go and I am so excited that they may be off my summer!
And I have been doing my pilates arm workout 3 days a week for about a month now, and I am really happy with how my arms are looking. It is a surprisingly hard workout.

Taking a break from WW

SO I am down to 132.3, which is great news. Just 6.8 pounds to go which is totally doable for me! I am so close to the 120's..I am very happy.
Weight watchers suggested I eat more dairy. I will eat string cheese 4-5 times a week and that's all the dairy I get. I hate milk. So I am making an effort to eat more yogurt, and maybe some sugar free chocolate milk. When I was pregnant I craved milkshakes, but instead I drank whole chocolate milk from a local farm and it was amazing! Part of what got me into this mess in the first place!

So we went out with a bunch of friends to an Italian restaurant last night. DH was ordering chicken spedieni with alfredo sauce and the portions are huge. I did not want to spend 15 dollars for some ravioli, so I said I will just get a dinner salad and eat a little but of his. I ate my caesar salad and 3 french rolls, and but then they just brought me half of his entree on my own plate, and I ate it all!
To top it off I had 1 shot and 2 malibu's and diet cokes at the casino we went to after. At 3 am when we went to our roomm, dh stopped and got nachos and I ate half a cinnamon roll.

I was slightly hung over this morning and ate a bagel with cream cheese, which was about 500 calories. So I ate all my WW weekly points in 12 hours and I have till Thursday till my points start over. Which means I just get my daily 19 points, which equals out to 950 calories a day. I'm not doing that! Plus my period will be here so I won't lose any when I weigh in anyway.

I will be just trying to eat around 1250 calories until ww starts over next Friday.

I have lost 10 pounds since Jan 2. YAY!
I have 9 pounds left. I'm thinking about doing WW. I'm thinking it will just take me 6 weeks or so and then I can enjoy my summer!

I really need to update this more often!

I think when I was updating everyday I was doing better on my diet!

So...I did do my arm workout 3 times this week. Feeling good about that... I have lost another pound, down to 135. 9 pounds lost total! And I'm fitting into some pants I definitely couldn't wear just a few months ago.

I'm still debating about weight watchers. If I join, I need to before free registration ends next Saturday. I want to do WW, I just don't want to pay to weigh in every week!

Oh yeah, and now that the weather is warming up, I'm running 3 miles, 3 times a week.

My new arm workout

I have decided not to back into lifting heavy-ish weights for my upper body. That's what I did pre-baby. It's the workout I hate the most and the one I usually skipped at least once a week (I tried to do it twice a week).

I read an article by Tracy Anderson, who trains both Madonna and Gymneth Paltrow and she said the biggest mistake women make is using heavy weights. They obviously have great bodies. Then, I saw an instructor at my gym using the cybex and lifting 3 pound weights the whole time. She has amazing arms. She also teaches yoga and cycling. I talked to her and she said he used to do heavy weights too, but switched to light weights with more reps.

So...I have this great pilates video I have been doing about once a week. I think it's called 10 minutes solutions. I had been doing arm, lower body and abs. I'm going to continue doing this once a week, but 2 other days a week I'm just going to do arms.

It's amazing how challenging it is just with 3 pound weights. My arms are burning and I can't even finish some of the sets without resting. I figure I can definitely squeeze in 10 minutes 2 more days a week!

3 miles, YAY!

I ran 3 miles yesterday. I know that's not that much, but I haven't run that much since I was 4 months pregnant, more than 1 1/2 years ago. Yesterday I just decided to do another loop around the block, it was easy. I probably could have done more. I'm going to run today, and my new goal is to do 3 miles every time.
I could not run more than 2 minutes until I was 27, so I am proud of myself.
Weight went up to 138.2. I just have not been staying under 1400 calories, and I need to. Looks like I'm going to have to join WW in a week or two.

I need to be stricter

The 1350-1600 calories a day I have been eating this week haven't been doing it for me! I have gained .6 pounds. Not a ton, but going in the wrong direction. I was hoping that since I stopped nursing this week, that I few pounds would drop off. That can happen, but it hasn't so far for me.
I going downstair to do my HIIT workout right now and watch the Biggest Loser.
I'm giving myself 3 weeks to lose 3 pounds. If that doesn't happen, I am joining Weight Watchers before their free registration ends. Everyone I know on it seems to lose fast. I can lose 12 pounds in 2-3 months with WW, or a year on my own.

Lunch out

Kellen and I are meeting Lee out for lunch today. We were supposed to do it yesterday for Lee's bday, but he had too many meetings.
Oh, and I only had 3 bites of birthday cake yesterday. Yay for me!

Not sure were we are going for lunch, but I will only be eating half of whatever it is.

I think I'll do a pilates video during K's afternoon nap and then maybe go to the gym in the early evening. There is a hip hop aerobics class I want to try. They had the class about 5 years ago, and I loved it. They just brought it back this month!

Short and sweet

I went on a 30 min walk today and did a 1 hour yoga class. Ran 2.5 miles yesterday and Sunday. Ate 1350 calories yesterday, and stayed under that today. I'm doing better!

Really unmotivated

I have not written down what I have eaten since Thursday, and haven't worked out since then either.
Yesterday I was very depressed because Lee had to work and I have been home alone with Kellen just way too much. He is so fussy all of the time lately, is getting to everything and my patience is worn thin. So when he is napping, I just want to clean or sit and read, not work out. Lee is working 80 hours week and it has been really hard being alone with DS that much without help. It makes me want to work a few more days a week!

Today we had our last nursing session, so I'm hoping I can cut my calories down a little more. It's nice to get my body back after being pregnant or nursing for almost 2 years.

I am going to go on a run this afternoon.

Mexican and Margaritas!

Dh's birthday is Tuesday, but I have my cake decorating class that night. So we are going out to dinner tonight instead. Lee is so worn out from work (he's working 80 hours a week right now) he requested just staying somewhere in our suburb to eat. I think he wants the cheap mexican place up the street! He balances out the 150 dollar dinner we had for my birthday. I will be taking Kellen to my mom's before he gets home so we can at least relax during dinner.
I have decided I am only ordering 1 cheese enchilada, beans and rice. No margarita's even though they are good and really cheap there! They have so many calories. I will just have to wait until the weather is warm and we make them at home with much fewer calories.
Yesterday I had a starbucks signature hot cocoa for my snack. I didn't know until afterwards that it was 330 calories - and that was a tall with skim milk and no whip cream! My mocha would have just been 170 calories- should have gotten that.
I did stay under 1400 calories yesterday and got in a 45 min walk.

I'm going to try to get some pilates in today, but that's it.
Eating plan:
Breakfast - 1 serving honey nut cheerios - 110, part of Kellen's waffle - 40
Lunch- Turkey tettrazini- 400
Snack - 150
Dinner-800. I know I'll eat too many chips. That puts me at 1500. But I have 3 hours until lunch and I am hungry. So may go over.

Still not feeling good...

This cold/sinus infection is really hanging on. I have had an awful headache the last few days. I just finished my z-pac and it is supposed to work for the next 5 days, so hopefully I will feel better sick. I am rarely sick, but I have been sick the last 2 weeks with one thing or another!

Yesterday in the morning, I did my HIIT workout (7 min of sprints, alternately for 30 minutes).
Today I have done nothing during Kellen's nap, but will be meeting my mom at the mall to walk for 30-45 minutes.
Yesterday I felt awful in the afternoon/evening so did not count my calories. But I know I stayed under 1400 as I did not eat that much.

Today's food:
Breakfast- Protein shake - 250 calories
Lunch- Turkey and swiss sandwich - 225 carrots - 30
snack - Probably homemade trail mix. 200 calories
Dinner- Homemade Turkey tetrazzini - Cooking light recipe (400 calories. Green beans - 75
Snack - 100 calories of something. Pudding or skinny cow ice cream bar

That puts me at 1280, but I bet I'll eat something else.

So I've obviously made some progress from when I was pregnant (a year ago), but have a ways to go to get my pp body back.
I need to lose:
Bust - 2 1/2 inches. (I'm still breastfeeding once a day, so this will go down a little more once I wean).
Waist- 3 1/2 inches. I have more work cut out for me here. My waist is just so much wider after carrying Kellen. I know it will go down some, but I don't know that I will ever be that small again.
Hips - 1 3/4 inch. Usually I struggle with my hips and thighs the most, so I'm surprised I don't have more to lose.
Thighs- 1 inch.
Arms - 1/4 - 1/2 inch
Calves- 1/4 inch.

After looking at all this, it feels doable! The other good news is since I have been working out for years and only took 2 weeks off after having Kellen, I am toned under all this fat!!

Chobani yogurt is so good!

It is my new favorite food. It's greek yogurt with fruit on the bottom. It's not organic, but it doesn't have growth hormones. It does have more sugar than regular greek yogurt, but it is so thick and rich I feel like I'm eating cheesecake! And for only 140 calories with lots of protein.

I already ran with the jogging stroller for 2.5 miles but then I came home to bake a cake for my cake decorating class tonight and I ate about 200 calories worth of cake batter. UGH!

My weight after the flu and AF has stablized at 137. I'm very happy with that since I weighed 144 on Jan. 2! I still have 12 more pounds I would like to lose. Hopefully by summer.

It's super nice out, so we will be going for a walk this afternoon, after Kellen's gyboree class.

Today's eating:
Breakfast - Chobani yogurt and 1/2 a serving of Special K with strawberries. 200
Snack - cake batter, 200
Lunch- either protein shake or leftover chicken pot pie. 300 calories
Dinner- turkey, green breans, dressing, mashed potatoes. I'm cookin it all! No rolls, though. 600 calories
I'm sure I will have a small piece of the wedding cake I'm making for practice, 250 calories.

That puts my at 1550 if I am lucky. Tomorrow I should be over my cold and back to under 1400.

Sick again

I feel like crap today. I have a cold/sinus infection. I had a nasty cough the last couple of days but that is at least gone. Now it has just moved into my head. I'm congested, have a headache, and the Z-Pac is making me nauseous.

So I had every intention of running today, but I am going to skip it. Then I decided to ride the recumbent bike and read the newspaper, but that just didn't happen either.

I am going to lunch and shopping with some girlfriends in about an hour. Dh will have DC for the longest he has ever been alone with him. So I am definitely leaving! If I don't, I will just have to watch DC while I am sick any because dh wil decide to do work.

At lunch I am planning on getting crab bisque and 1/2 a turkey sandwich. I will only be eating half!

My eating plan:
Breakfast - 100, 1 1/2 pieces of toast, 130, chobani yogurt.
Lunch- out, no idea really. 700
Dinner- chicken pot pie. Probably around 400 calories.
Hoping to stay under 1400.
Yesterday I did. No weight loss yet, but Aunt Flo is still here.

My protein shake, yum!

This was my first attempt at making a protein shake, and it was really good. Much better than the one's my dh makes with his chocolate protein and water.
Here's the recipe-
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 container fage 0% yogurt (I put it in the freezer about 45 minutes before I used it)
4-5 strawberries
1/2 a banana
1/2 cup water
2 packets splenda
2 ice cubes.

Mix in the blender, and voila! It made 1 1/2 glasses. The entire serving was 270 calories (my banana was huge) with 35 grams protein.
Enjoy! I had it 3 1/2 hours ago and am just now going to have snack.

Did better than expected!

I only ate 1 small lemon bar yesterday! For dinner out, I had half of a 9 ounce sirloin steak, 4 shrimp, and 2 asparagus spears and half an order of mashed potatoes. I looked the calories up on calorieking.com and it is about 650 calories. So I stayed at 1500 yesterday, not 1800.
I got in 50 minutes of cardio yesterday (6 hiit intervals).
Today I have already been to the gym, where I did 45 min on the elliptical and abs/lower back. It's nice again, so I'm planning on taking Kellen out for a walk later.

Eating plan for today-
Breakfast - 2 pieces of toast with margarine - 125
Lunch - Not sure yet. I may fool around and try to make a good tasting protein shake with bananas, strawberries, fage yogurt and protein powder. I have a cold and nasty cough, so just drinking something sounds good. Something around 400 calories
Snack - 100 calories granola bar or fruit.
Dinner- brisket and baked potatoes. 550
Lemon bar - 200

Should be at 1375 or so.

The tempting weekend...

Weekends are always so hard. Tonight we are going to Houlihan's to use my free birthday dinner before it expires this weekend. I think I'm getting a filet with shrimp, and mashed potatoes. Shouldn't be too awful. But I would really like the chicken parmesan, which is SOOO good. We'll see. And dh is bringing home lemon bars and brownies from a safety picnic he helped throw for the workers building the school he is in charge of. Lee brings these home about once every 3-4 months, and the lemon bars are to die for. I can resist the brownies.

I did 20 minutes of hit on the treadmill (only 6 intervals, Kellen woke up from his nap early) and then went on a 30 minute walk.
I stayed under 1400 yesterday!

Today's eating plan:
Breakfast - fruit salad, half of Kellen's waffle! 100 calories
Lunch - 1 chicken taco,250 1/2 serving chips - 70, 100 - a couple bites of cake (which I threw out afterward)
Snack - fruit salad -75
Dinner - out. Probably 800
Dessert - lemon bars, 300

Oh no, that's 1700 calories.

Back on track!

The weather is great today, and will be the next few days, so I will be getting out of the house to run. As soon as Kellen wakes up from his nap we will take a trip in the jogging stroller. My plan is to run 2.5 miles
Here's my eating for today:
Breakfast - 220. Green tea with honey, dry Special K (I don't like milk), organic yogurt with strawberries
Lunch - 100 - tiny square homemade pizza. 60 - shared string cheese with Kellen, 160 - natural peanut butter and saltines. Can you tell I haven't been to the grocery store in 2 weeks!
Dinner - Chicken tacos, kashi rice pilaf, fruit salad. 650

Dessert - cake - 200. I am taking a cake decorating cake so we will be having lots of cake this next month.

Calories - 1350.
Yesterday I stayed on track for everything.

Easing back into it...

I still have a bit of some stomach problems (TMI!) so I won't be running today. Kellen's asleep now and I am going to do my MTV Yoga video (my favorite!). It's cold out and I am deseperate to get out of the house, so I'm going to the mall with my mom to walk. We will probably walk for about 45 minutes this afternoon.

My eating plan:
Breakfast - 120 calories. Cliff Z organic bar
Lunch - Triscuits- 140, Turkey salad (canned turkey, dried cranberries, celery, light mayo, spicy mustard, cashews) - 200.
Snack - fruit- 100
Dinner- Homemade Pizza- 350. Spinach dip and chips - 250
Dessert - Small piece cake - 200

Total - 1360

My new goal is the stay under 1400 calories a day. Before it was to stay under 1500.

Weight today is 137.4. My weight went back up as soon as I started taking in some fluids.

It's the stomach flu...

I have thrown up three times, and have diarrhea to boot. I haven't had anything since lunch except half a can of 7UP. So looks like 500 calories today. I work tomorrow, so hoping I feel better. I'm terrified Kellen may get sick. We'll see.

Not feeling well today...

I almost feel like I am getting the flu. I did drink Friday night on my birthday, but today is Sunday. I shouldn't have a hangover still!
I'm hoping to feel better after lunch and go on a run.
My eating plan for today:
Breakfast - 140 calories, cereal
Lunch - lean cuisine pizza, 380 calories
Dinner- pulled pork sandwich, spinach dip, tortilla chips, small piece cheesecake. 800 calories

Dh is having some guys over for the super bowl, so I am making all of the above. I'm just going to have a taste of cheesecake. I made it because I'm entering a recipe contest and needed to tweak some changes.

Got a 2 workouts in!!

I didn't think I would get to work out today, but I did a 30 min pilates video during Kellen's nap (I got all my work done). Then when he woke up I decided to go to the gym. I did 45 minutes on the elliptical, abs, and some pushups/bicep curls.

I think I am right at 1300 calories for today, and going to bed. I don't think I will be posting tomorrow. I won't have time to work out and am indulging for dinner. You only turn 30 once!

Keep the cinnamon sugar pita chips away!

I ate 3/4ths of a bag last night. Mindless eating, which I usually don't do. Lee stayed up late working until midnight in our basement while I watched American Idol, an Oprah, and finished Biggest Loser. I realize now I should have worked out, but I was giving myself a mani-pedi. I went upstairs about 20 minutes before him and I was starving. I ate dinner about 5:30. So I grabbed a bag of pita chips and got on the computer. Before I knew it, most were gone!

So I was really ticked this morning when I got on the scale and gained my 1.2 pounds back. Pizza, Indian food, chocolate chip cookies and pita chips were catching up with me! It's hard getting used to eating less when I am used to eating 2300 calories or so breastfeeding. But I can't do that anymore when I'm only nursing once a day. I think I ate about 1900 calories yesterday.

I did do my 30 minutes HIIT, but nothing else. I have my monthly staff meeting in the morning and I needed to finish reading Games to Play with Babies, which I borrowed from my boss. Today I need to make copies of some of it, so not sure how much work out time I will get in. I'm going to try my hardest to eat well today and tomorrow until my birthday dinner tomorrow night. Sunday it will be back on the wagon, and then I will have no distractions until Lee's birthday on Feb. 17th.

Eating plan for today:
Breakfast - 1 egg, 1 1/2 pieces toast. 175 calories (this kept me very full yesterday)
Lunch - Chili with saltines. 300
Snack - 200 calories of something
Dinner- Chili burrito and tortilla chips, 500
Snack - 200 calories of something
Total - 1375

I make most of our food from scratch, and we eat leftovers until they are gone, which I'm sure you can tell!!

My new goal is to get in at least 2 cups of green tea a day. I used to drink it all the time pre-pregnancy. It's hard now because I don't want to have hot tea when the baby is around me. He's always wanting it and I don't want him to burn himself. I have had a sore throat since yesterday so it's been easy so far.

Yeah, someone's actually reading this!!

I was so excited that I had a comment on yesterday's blog! Now I really feel compelled to make sure I keep this up!

So...2 small pieces of pizza yesterday, which was on target, but 3 small cookies. I did send the rest of them home with our guests so they wouldn't be lying around the house.

I'm going to get on the treadmill in just a few minutes and do my HIIT workout for the week. I usually enjoy it more than running my 2.5 miles on the treadmill. I should have a Biggest Loser from last night to watch.

Today's eating plan:
Breafast- 1 egg, 1 1/2 pieces of toast- 175
Lunch - Indian food - no idea. Hopefully less than 700
Dinner- Chili and tortilla chips - 450

Another 1.2 pounds lost!

So 2.8 pounds in 8 days. I'm pretty happy with that! I was so hungry again yesterday, so I was going to be mad if nothing had changed.
The next week my goal is just to maintain my weight. Tonight some friends are bringing pizza, but I'm going to just eat 2 pieces.
Tomorrow I'm eating at an Indian restaurant for lunch. Never had anything Indian before, so this will be an adventure.
Friday night is my 30th birthday and dh is suprising me with dinner somewhere and then we are meeting friends for a night of dancing! Hopefully I will burn off the calories I eat. Saturday I will probably be hung over (it happens very easily) and we will eat breakfast after we leave the hotel. I will probably indulge in some biscuits and gravy. My parents will probably want to take me out to dinner sometime this week, too. I try to eat at a restaurant only once a week, so this will be hard on me.

Yesterday I did all my workouts and stayed in my calorie range. I'm getting ready to go downstairs and run 2.5 miles on the treadmill and watch the Biggest Loser.
Here's my eating for today:
Breafast - cereal, 200
Lunch - homemade chicken tortilla soup and tortilla chips, 350
Snack - 150 calories of something
Dinner - Pizza- 600
Snack - Cookie- 150 (making them for our guests) It will be hard to eat only one!

Monday

Yesterday I went over my calories by about a 100. I was just starving in the afternoon and evening.
I just got back from the gym, where I did 45 minutes on the elliptical and abs. Kellen is asleep, so I think I will read the newspaper while I ride the recumbent bike.

I'm so hungry and ready for lunch! It's 11, so I'm going to try to stay busy until 12.
Here's my meal plan for today:
Breakfast: 1 servings special K chocolately delight, 1 piece sara lee light toast. 200 calories
Snack - string cheese. 50 calories
Lunch - Chicken Caesar Salad. (Homemade). 350
Snack - fruit, 100. Granola Bar- 140
Dinner - Leftover roast, potatoes and carrots. 500
Dessert - 100 calories of something. Pudding, dark chocolate, who knows!

I did good!

I asked Red Robin to bring me a box with my food and I packed half of it away before I ate. It worked out great! Dh ate my leftovers for lunch today.
This morning I ran 2.5 miles. My meal plan for today:
Breakfast - Oatmeal and a few cheerios- 175
Lunch- Chicken broccoli skillet- 350, string cheese -80, chocolate goldfish - 100
Dinner- Roast and Carrots - 300. Mashed potatoes- 200

Temptation

So I stayed under my calories allotment yesterday, but did not get in my planned afternoon pilates/stationary bike. When I check our mail, my dh's W2 was in the mail, so I did our taxes instead. I couldn't wait to find out how much money we were getting back.

Today is a difficult day. I'm not getting a workout in. We just got in from getting family pics taken. That took 2 1/2 hours if you include drivetime and we are all exhausted now. For dinner we are going to Red Robin to use my free birthday meal coupon and then bowling for 3 hours! So I guess that is some physical activity. Here's my eating plan for today:

Breafast-
Dh made sausage egg mcmuffins. 325 calories
Lunch-
Tuna and triscuits - 250
Dinner-
I looked up a cheeseburger and fries for Red Robin, and it looks like it is about 900 calories. I'm not getting any cheese, and only eating half, so hopefully I will be at 450 calories. Usually I get a chocolate shake but I will skip that. Then I might have the calories for a martini at the bowling alley

HIIT Day

I just got done doing my high intensity interval training workout for the week.
I walk for 2 min at 3.8-4.0
Sprint for 1 minute at 7.5
Repeat 7 times.
I was on the treadmill for 30 minutes by the time I added a warm up and cool down.
When Kellen takes his afternoon nap I plan on riding the recumbent bike (while reading the newspaper) and doing some pilates.

Yesterday I stayed on track. 1420 calories, 55 minutes cardo and 25 minutes yoga.

Here's my eating plan for today:
Breakfast - English muffin with smidge of natural pb. 175 calor1s. Water

Snack -- 50 calorie string cheese

Lunch - Tuna salad (tuna, lowfat cottage cheese, lowfat mayo, lemon juice, spices) 150 calories
Carrots-30
Lettuce -0
Triscuits - 140

Snack - fruit - 100, granolar bar- 140
Dinner- Chicken Broccoli noodle skillet. I haven't made this recipe before, but I will calculate the calories when I make it. I'm thinking about 400 cal/serving
Salad- 75
Bread - 150

That puts my right at 1410. I may fit in a square of dark chocolate for dessert which is 55 calories.

I weighed today and haven't lost anything else.

My workout today

I just got back from the gym. I ran 2.5 miles and did some abs. Wanted to stay longer but Kellen was fussy in the daycare. He is now sleeping and I plan on going downstairs to do the Namaste Yoga I tivoed. It's in the 50's today, so I plan to take Kellen on a walk later. I may also be going to the mall with my mom late this afternoon. If we go, we will probably walk for 30 minutes or so. We'll see.

Yesterday I took a 25 minutes walk with Kellen. I wanted to walk longer but it was chilly. When he was napping, I did a 30 minute full body pilates video. It was hard - my lower body and abs are sore today!!

Food wise, I stuck to 1400 calories yesterday. So far today, I have had:
Breakfast - English muffin with butter. 175 calories
Snack - string cheese. 50 calories

My plan for the rest of the day-
Lunch - Homemade Tacos with 90% beef. 200
1/2 serving tortilla chips - 75
2 T black beans - 50
snack - grapes, pineapple, clementine - 100
granola bar - 150
Dinner - Panera
bowl of soup, 1/2 caesar salad, french bread - 600.
Hopefully I can stay on track today!

1.6 pounds lost!

I weighed in this morning and am down to 140.0. Only 14.4 pounds to go. I have been STARVING since I'm still breastfeeding and have been trying to keep busy to forget about it. I have eaten 1425 calories that last two days.

1 year post partum

My dh and I weighed in for out diet challenge yesterday. I weighed in at 141.6, so I have 16 pounds I need to lose. Yesterday I ate 1430 calories, but was starving. Today I am so hungry, too. I am still breastfeeding 3 times a day, so I think that's why I'm so hungry. Yesterday I had to work, so no work out. But I plan to get in my usual this week. I'm excited to see if I lose any weight cutting my calories down this low.

During...

I am 40 weeks pregnant in this picture. I still had 11 days until I delivered! I weighed 166 a few days before I gave birth. I may have gained a couple more pounds than that as I was gaining about 5 pounds a week at the end!

Before...

Here I am barely pregnant. I think I got the positive pregnancy test a day or two before this picture was taken. I am 5'4 and 125 pounds in this picture. My goal is to look like this again!
